My favourite week during this course was spent with Lee Fullarton in Module One. I loved her enthusiasm and her ability to simplify complex processes. This did not feel like a University subject; it was just plain fun....
Module Two was fun as well... I can see how wonderful imaginative play can happen with relation to the "Forest Bureau of Investigation". I enjoyed making a fool of myself with my 13 year old daughter while we became animals such as kangaroos, bears, snakes and gorillas. We had some success with the activity "Believing in invisible objects", although I am quite sure the neighbours though we were barking mad.
My Personal Response to Ken Robinson: I work as a Teacher Aide in a High School. I work with a young boy who, I believe, is a gifted musician, brilliant writer, eloquent speaker and shows maturity beyond his years. Unfortunately, his mathematical skills are very poor and struggles to add 2 + 2.... Because of this terrible affliction, it is unlikely that he will be able to achieve an (Overall Position) OP score, which will most likely result in his inability to attend University. What a terrible loss for a beautiful mind, and what a loss for future generations to come. In this particular instance, I do believe that the Education System is not meeting his individual talents.
